Charity Bake Sale

Cant believe its been a week since all the excitement of the brilliant charity awareness day "See Me Not My Chair".

The event was held in Goodlands garden in Taunton and organised by Ben White to raise awareness of cerebral palsy. With the sun shining people came to visit the park and support this great, worthwhile cause and was something I was proud to be a part of. There were so many good things happening including Tombolas, Bouncy Castles, Raffles and other various stalls (including cakes!)

Had the delights of waking up at the crack of dawn and fitting all that was needed into my little car... proved quite a challenge in the, bearing in mind My Little Car is a diddy peaugot 107, (a Tardis really)

We made it to our pitch and once fully set up was ready for business! Always something quite satisfying about seeing the stall all set up and ready to go.

Business was slow to start...but I guess cake is a bit too sickly to eat in the morning. However as the day progressed cakes become more popular. The cake selection for the day consisted of ; chocolate marble, lemon and white chocolate, chocolate cookie dough, chocolate fudge, Victoria sponge and other indulgences like chocolate tiffin, millionaire shortbread and truffles...etc

The choices seemed to go down well...especially the classic chocolate tiffin and more unusual mini Mr Strong cakes. The showstopper of the day was my levitating burger cake! This was great fun to make and helped grab the attention of passers by...the cake was not sold, however did not go to waste and was taking into the office to be eaten...

Overall this was a huge success and would like to give big thanks to all who supported me and the event, it was a great trial run before the rush of the Christmas markets... Thank you for reading and happy baking!
